This article talks about the ban in Colorado on Pit Bulls and what are the causes of placing the ban. First the article talks about how a pit bull attacked a 3 year old boy and killing him and also the mauling of a 59 year old, leaving him with over 70 bites and two broken legs, from 1984 to 1989 there were 20 recorded pit bull attacks in Colorado. But some people believe that the attacks aren’t because of the dog but because of the owner and how he treats the dog, others say that it is just the dog’s nature. Now that the ban is taking effect many Colorado citizens that own pit bulls are now trying to leave the state in order to save their dogs. For me it is very hard to choose a side because I was bitten by a pit bull and I really don’t like them, but on the other hand I don’t think they should be taken from their owners and killed unless the dog is in dog fighting. I think if you want to have a pit bull you should register it and should have to put it in training so that attacks can be prevented.
